Arrive in Kunming and meet the local team at the airport or railway station. Transfer by private vehicle to the hotel, normally about 40 minutes depending on traffic. After check-in, rest and adjust to the local pace. If your arrival time is early, free time can be arranged around nearby dining or a short city walk.
