Xiamen - First Encounter with Coastal Charm
Start at South Putuo Temple from about 09:00 to 11:00 to experience Buddhist culture and Minnan architecture with flying eaves and carved details. Continue to Shapowei around late morning for fishing-village lanes, creative shops, and the mix of old Xiamen and modern art. Lunch is self-paid at Shapowei around 12:30 to 13:30. In the afternoon, take the ferry to Gulangyu Island from about 14:00 to 17:30 to see the Sea Garden atmosphere and international-style architecture, then return by boat around 18:00 and rest at the hotel.
