China's current unilateral visa-free arrangements allow eligible travelers to stay for up to 30 days for tourism, business, family visits, exchange, or transit.
According to the official FAQs, the policy for most eligible countries is currently in effect until December 31, 2026; Russia has a separate timeline through December 31, 2027.
If your trip purpose falls outside the visa-free rules, you still need to arrange the proper visa before departure.
